There were 1300 robberies from the start of July to the end of September 2010 - which is about 14 robberies a day.
Nearly $9M was stolen of which only $1M was recovered (only $1M, really?). Conspiciously missing from the report are how many of the 1300 robbers were caught.
Over half of all the robberies used demand notes.
Based on the ‘Security Devices Used During Crimes’ a robber has these odds:
- 1-in-24 chance of being given a ‘tracking device’
- 1-in-10 chance of being given a ‘dye pack’
- 1-in-3 chance of being given ‘bait money’
- Guaranteed to be photographed

= a successful robbery
= an unsuccessful robbery
